The Black Magician Trilogy

I just started the third book of Trudi Canavan's Black Magician Trilogy, the book being the High Lord, after my friend recommended the books and got me hooked. The books are amazing! Anyway, here's my try on few of the characters.


From left to right Akkarin, Sonea, Dannyl and Tayend. These are probably the characters I like the most. Though Lorlen, Dorrien, Rothen and so many others are also close to my heart, these were the easiest to draw. Them being the main characters I get a clearer image of what they look like in my head... The robes were a PAIN, I decided to make the sleeves like you see there since it seems impractical to have wide sleeves, especially for alchemists..! I'm least pleased with Tayend, I drew him the last and didn't have that much concentration left. Also, the hands all seem a bit weird to me, but I guess if you only look at the faces you'll manage...

Anyway, it's been so long since my last pencil work! And humans too, haven't been drawing them for a while, or at least it feels like forever. I tried to draw more realistic than usual, but I guess it's not that realistic... I just can't do it : D
