In the forest

After painting the pegasos drying out on a beach, I got so excited about drawing real backgrounds I thought I'd try to do a forest next. I actually had the inspiration for this after looking at Blackhornhorse's pic [link]
I know these two have nothing in common, but that wonderful piece made me think about a forest.
As I'm so lazy, it turned out to be a simple forest with only one kind of trees, but what the heck. I'm not perfect. Again, I don't like the horses' anatomy as much, basically because I was focusing on the background more and I failed the inking (especially the black mare's stomach). But at least it looks finished.


Watercolours, black ink. The reason why the lines go outside the white border is that I lined the picture before taping it to a board, ready for painting. I kinda like the effect.
